POST 2: Setting up Zodiac FX Switch

To set up the Zodiac FX switch, we need the following hardware and software components:


  1. USB cable - micro USB charging cable (generally used for charging most Android phones)
  2. the software package named - putty
To install putty:
  1. Open a terminal and make sure the system is connected to the internet
  2. in the terminal type :- sudo apt install putty
With the above, we can successfully set up the Zodiac FX switch.

POST 1: Introduction to Session 3 and Session 4

Through Sessions 3 and 4 we shall have a look at Distributed Controllers and why it is the right way to deploy SDNs in the real world today! We shall also look at network security issues in SDNs and how to address them. Specifically, we shall be dealing with DDoS and DoS attacks, how they compromise the SDN hosts and controllers, and how to tackle this situation through the centralized controller information and also through machine learning.
